Halloween Feast: Pumpkin and Cheese Mousse

Lets end this feast with something extra-ordinary dessert rather sweet candies.....
Ingredients:

  • Mashed pumpkin from half of pumpkin
  • 250gr of cream cheese
  • 250gr of whip cream, divide by two 125 gr each
  • 2 egg yolk
  • 100 ml of milk
  • pinch of nutmeg powder
  • pinch of cinnamon powder
  • gelatin powder
  • sugar
  • salt
  • vanilla extract
  • lemon juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 pack of oreo biscuits
  • 50 gr of butter, melt it
How to cook?

First to do, make some custard for the mousse mixture...boiled some water in a pot then whisk the egg yolk, pinch of salt, and 1 tbs of sugar in a bowl. Then place the bowl over the boiling water so the custard get the slow heat then pour the milk little by little, heat it until the custard get thick, set aside. 

for the cookie base, crush the oreo biscuit the mix it with the melt butter, put it under the glass or cake pan. push it evenly on the surface, let it freeze in the freezer for half an hour.


After we made the custard and cookie base, now lets make the pumpkin mousse, mix the mashed pumpkin, half part of whip cream and custard, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder, 1/2 tsp of vannila extract, 5 tbs of sugar and pinch of salt, set aside. Mix 1 tbs of gelatin powder with some milk, stir it until the gelatin powder are dissolved then place it over the pot with boiled water for about 10 minutes. mix the gelatin mixture to the pumpkin mousse mixture. Pour it to glass or cake pan for the first layer let it cool in fridge for 2-3 hours. 

For the cheese mousse, mix the cream cheese, half part of whip cream and custard, and 5 tbs of sugar. Mix it all together, set aside. Then  mix 1 tbs of gelatin powder with lemon juice, stir it until the gelatin powder are dissolved then place it over the pot with boiled water for about 10 minutes. mix the gelatin mixture to the cheese mousse mixture,mix it all together. Pour it to glass or cake pan for the second layer let it cool in fridge for 2-3 hours.


Voala... Pumpkin and Cheese Mousse are ready for the Halloween Feast's dessert. You can decorate it with some spider shape chocolate made form melted chocolate, strawberry or anything you want.
