Halloween Feast: Spiced Mutton Subs with Pumpkin Sauce



After the creamy and mild appetizers why not spiced up our mouth a little bit with Spiced Mutton Subs with Pumpkin Sauce as the main course...and here's the recipe.

Ingredients:


  • 300gr of Mutton or lamb meat, sliced dice
  • 1 Bagguette bread
  • 100gr of Lettuce, chopped
  • 100gr of Mashed pumpkin
  • 2 tbs of Plain Yoghurt
  • Sliced pickled cucumber
  • 200ml of Beef stock
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 Red chilies, chop
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chop
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Rosemary
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • olive oil
How to cook?

First to do, season the mutton with salt, pepper, paprika powder, nutmeg powder, dried rosemary, cumin powder, cinnamon powder and olive oil then rub all the spices until the mutton is covered evenly. Set aside for 1 hour or you can let it in the fridge for one night for better flavor. after that, heat some olive oil on the pot then saute the onion until caramelized then add the garlics, chilies, and the mutton. After the mutton turn brown pour the beef stock to the pot and cook until the stock is reduced and become thick, don't forget to season it. Set aside.

Slice the bagguete bread in the middle like serve for sandwich, toast it untill golden brown and crisp. For the pumpkin sauce, just mix the mashed pumpkin, plain yoghurt, olive oil and some salt and pepper. Then back to the subs again, just add the chopped lettuce, spiced mutton, some pickled cucumber, and pumpkin sauce. Voala...Spiced Mutton Subs with Pumpkin Sauce just ready to full your hungry belly and spiced up your mouth..
